DIY Conditions-based Monitoring
Has the acronym – CBM – ever caused you some headache? If so, join us for this fall’s Pre-Meeting Workshop on Monday, September 23! During our DIY CBM workshop, our friends at Pattern Operators and ONYX Insight will share lessons learned from their own condition-based monitoring experiences on how to choose the right method and discuss the challenges of implementing different paths.
Latest Perspectives on Repowering
Join us for an insightful, informative, and useful plenary session on repowering! Hear from your colleagues on lessons learned, what to do, and what not to do when it comes to the nuts and bolts of repowering projects. You will hear from experienced voices with different perspectives on repowering their sites, including full and partial repowering. You’ll hear about challenges, experiences, and solutions from construction through commissioning, including integration of parts from one OEM to another. Bring your interest and questions and you’ll get answers and more.
The heart of the meeting consists of manufacturer-specific roundtables for user group members only. The format consists of open discussions, moderated by Roundtable Chairpersons, centered on a specific wind turbine component or specific model of wind turbine. The Roundtables provide the opportunity for frank and open discussion among users, who share their information, knowledge and experience.
Participation in the Roundtables is limited to employees of ESIG member organizations that own, operate, or maintain wind generation equipment.
Attention all technicians! Are you ready to elevate your skills and stay ahead of the curve? Join us for a series of dynamic sessions designed just for you. Dive deep into cutting-edge technologies, troubleshoot real-world problems, and connect with industry leaders who are experts in generators and transformers!
The target users for the new Cybersecurity Roundtable are asset owners, engineers, operators, and IT teams that support Wind Plant and Turbine control systems, Battery Management Systems, and associated HVAC. Discussions will be focused on Solar and Wind asset owners managing the supply chain threats and procurement shortfall to digital equipment, and cyber risk in the operating environment.
Further discussion will include cyber tools and resources utilized by Solar and Wind asset owners in the performance of self-assessments, identify cyber risk posture, and comparing and prioritizing risk mitigation investment.
Join us for a tour of the MassCEC Wind Technology Testing Center on the evening of Tuesday, Sept. 24. The Testing Center offers a full suite of certification tests for turbine blades.
